Discover the power of interoception, the body’s innate ability to sense and respond to internal sensations, and how it contributes to our overall health and well-being.
In this course, we delve into the fascinating world of fascia, the interconnected web of tissue that integrates every biological system in the body, including the nervous system.
Fascia sensing is a key to accessing our body’s self-regulating potential. By toning the fascia, we simultaneously tone the vagus nerve, which is crucial in regulating our autonomic nervous system.
This course explores the fascia of the body as a tensegrity structure. Go beyond the individual parts of your body and experience the fascia as a fluid, multi-dimensional continuity of wholeness rather than individual parts.
Yasmin Lambat, your guide in this transformative journey, will lead you through a series of practices designed to cultivate fascia sensing and interoception. You will learn how fascia sensing can help bring the body to a state of rest and recovery, release long-held emotional patterns of strain, and enhance your overall sense of embodiment.
Throughout the course, you will also be introduced to the concept of pandiculation, a natural and instinctive way of revitalizing the body and restoring suppleness from the inside out. Pandiculation is an interoceptive urge that can be observed in animals and infants, serving as a blueprint for self-regulation.
By the end of this course, you will have gained a deeper understanding of:
The self-sensing nature of our body’s fascia and its role in interoception
The link between fascia, the vagus nerve, and overall well-being
The “phase-changing” nature of fascia and how fascia sensing differs from stretching
The importance of fascial hydration and how it calms chronic pain
Techniques to incorporate fascia sensing into your yoga practice for enhanced self-regulation and embodiment
